As we embark on this transformative journey, we are proud to introduce our inaugural strategic plan, a roadmap that will guide us through the next crucial years of development.
Atlantic Technological University is not just an educational institution; it is a beacon of progress, innovation, and community engagement. At the heart of our identity lies a commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and sustainability.
Our multi-campus university, spread across the spectacular west and northwest of Ireland, is a testament to our dedication to serving diverse communities, fostering local connections, and addressing global challenges.
As we strive to become a more connected region, we embrace our unique position with nine campuses deeply embedded in the rich cultural tapestry of counties across our region. More than that, as a public sector organisation, it is our duty to uphold and promote human rights and equity for all of our citizens.
Our strategic plan is built on five Guiding Lights—Enabling Education, Engaged Research, Connected Ecosystem, Organisational Transformation, and Sustainability for the Future. These lights illuminate our path toward becoming an internationally renowned university that enhances the quality of life in our region and creates a sustainable future for all.
I invite each member of our community to actively participate in realising this vision. Together, we will build a university that not only meets the needs of our region but also serves as a model for educational excellence, research impact, and global citizenship. Our focus on Enabling Education for Student Success aims to cultivate a learning environment that fosters innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ethical practice.
Engaged Research with Impact will enable us to address local and global challenges, contributing to sustainable development in areas such as renewable energy, life sciences, and digital transformation.

As members of the EU Green European University Alliance, we are one of nine European universities working together to build more sustainable future here and across Europe.
I invite each member of our community - students, faculty, staff, and partners, and our many external stakeholders across the nation and around the world - to help us realise our ambitious plans.
